After launching the first prototype in 2003, in partnership with VIVO, the solution was adopted by the Bank of Brasil, the largest financial institution in Latin America. The clients can now access their bank accounts over their mobile phones with the same authentication and security characteristics found in banking services conducted over the Internet.
The Bank of Brasil application, which is available for download through the VIVO Download service, is compatible with several handsets and allows users to make consultations related to bank balances, receive statements, make payments and transfer resources. All transactions are ensured though an additional level of symmetric cryptography (DES/RSA/RC4…), over the 128 bit SSL.
The solution is based on an exclusive technology developed by EverSystems that provides the application with high performance, maximum security and a graphic interface that facilitates navigation and the execution of operations, significantly improving the user’s experience.
In less than three months after being launched, EverSystems m-banking firmly established itself as the most advanced solution in Latin America in its category.
It has already been awarded the e-Finance 2005 Award, held by the Executivos Financeiros magazine, the Best Choice Award conceded by IBM for the best emerging techno logy and it was the only Brazilian finalist in QUALCOMM’s BREW Developer's Awards 2005, held in San Diego, in the "Best Business Application" category. It also won the Quality Standard Award in B2B 2005 as the best supplier in e-Finance.
